Parish Finances

The operating costs of the Parish amount to €94,000 approx., annually. These costs include heating, lighting and maintenance of the Church and grounds, wages and other essential services and supplies and administrative expenses including the running of the parish office.
To meet these expenses parishioners contribute to the Parish Maintenance and Development Fund. In most cases contributions are made by standing orders but envelopes are provided also for those who wish to contribute by cash or cheque, Standing order forms and boxes of envelopes are available from the Parish Office.
Donations and bequests are most welcome.

Weekend Mass Collections

There are two collections during the Sunday and Holyday Masses:

• The first collection is for the support of the priests of the Diocese.

• The second collection is for SHARE – the diocesan fund which supports the development of new parishes and other needy parishes

Christmas and Easter Dues:

To support the priests of the Diocese, dues are payable at Christmas and Easter. Envelopes are delivered to homes in the parish and are made available also in the church porches.

Tax Relief

A most welcome source of funding is the Income Tax Rebate Scheme. Last year it realised over 16,000 euro! Cumulative donations over 250 euro to the Church attract tax relief. Contact Parish Office for information.

Special Collections After Sunday Masses.

1. Please apply in writing to the Parish Pastoral Council stating the aim of the project or charity and where the monies will go
2. While we receive many requests from very worthy charities, to encourage the youth of our Parish only charities/projects involving the youth of the Parish will be considered.
3. The young person(s) concerned may address the congregation at the end of the Masses outlining the project and invite them to the Parish Centre after Mass for tea/coffee where hopefully they will make a donation
4. Only one such collection will be permitted per month.
